Answers to common RSA Refresher questions

About RSA online-services

Complete RSA Refresher Course

Complete RSA Refresher course allows holders of a Victorian RSA certificate, original or refresher, to login and complete a refresher course. Certificate holders can also print off previously completed refresher certificates.

To download and print your certificate, login to Complete RSA Refresher course.

Please note: the RSA certificate is valid for three years from the date the original or refresher course was completed. If your course is outside the three-year validity period, you can still login and complete the refresher course bringing it up-to-date.

Recognise interstate RSA certificate

Recognise interstate RSA certificate allows holders of an interstate RSA certificate that meets specific criteria to apply to have that RSA recognised in Victoria.

The original interstate RSA certificate must be less than three years old and the course must have been completed face-to-face.

Check validity of RSA certificate

Check validity of RSA certificate allows employers to confirm the validity of RSA certificates provided to them by staff.

Practice RSA Refresher course

Practice RSA Refresher course gives you the chance to run a Practice RSA Refresher course. You can learn about Responsible Service of Alcohol without having to login. No data is recorded when completing the practice course and no certificate is generated.

Certificate and certificate number

I don’t know/have lost my certificate number

Your certificate number is located in the top right-hand corner of your RSA Certificate.

You can also find your certificate number using the Find my RSA Certificate number search available on the website.

I’ve lost my certificate

If you need a copy of the original certificate you received with your initial training, please contact the VCGLR. Please note: we charge $16.50 for the original certificate.

Alternatively, when you complete the online refresher course, you will receive a certificate at no cost and this refresher certificate serves as adequate evidence of the completion of your RSA training course.

My certificate number and name combination is not valid

If you receive this error when trying to login, check that you are entering the details exactly as they appear on your certificate. Remember to include your middle name if it appears on the certificate.

Other things to consider:

Check you are entering your first name and surname in the correct boxes. Your surname needs to be entered in the Surname box and any other names on your certificate in the First and Other Name box. Also check that you have entered the full certificate number including the letters at the start.

If you are still unable to login, please contact the VCGLR for assistance.

I don’t have a printer. How do I print my refresher certificate?

You can download a copy of your RSA Refresher certificate by logging into the RSA Refresher course. The PDF file can then be emailed to your employer or to someone who can print it for you.
